Former First Lady Michelle Obama has gone on the record saying she’s a big fan of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but she revealed that the Potomac iteration is her favorite.
Gizelle Bryant and several of her co-stars from Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip appeared on The Today Show. The host declared, “Michelle Obama says Real Housewives of Potomac is her favorite show.”
The Green-Eyed Bandit is “Clearly honored” to be on the former FLOTUS’s favorite show. “But it’s shocking. When we go low, we go low. I’m just glad she’s sticking with us.” Of course, Michelle famously said, ‘When they go low, we go high.’
Still, Gizelle said they don’t “change the vibe” based on who is watching, not even Michelle Obama. Andy recalled Gizelle telling Michelle to “Turn the channel. You’re not going to like this” during a cast conflict.
Earlier this year, Michelle was asked about Real Housewives scenes that stand out. “Of course, Teresa Giudice’s table flip. You know, ‘Prostitution whore.’” Michelle reenacted the scene, beating the table and yelling, “‘Prostitution whore!’ She flipped the table.”
Michelle’s big brother – who she podcasts with – was clueless about the lore. He followed up, “And was there stuff on the table?” She responded, “Oh, it was at a nice dinner. There was wine and tablecloths.”
“But Teresa’s a pill” continued Michelle. “And there was one time in the reunion when she like almost knocked out Andy Cohen.”
“She was going after another housewife, and he was trying to stop her. This is the host. She takes one arm and just pushes him out of the way.”
Never forget, Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, Kandi Buruss, referenced Michelle during her tenure on Bravo TV. “I am not Michelle Obama. When they go low, I’m going low with you!”
