Next Gen NYC star Gia Giudice is getting a taste of the restaurant business, but not all the reviews of her new venture are five-star!
The dorter of Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice recently opened Il Vero, an Italian restaurant in Westwood, New Jersey.
Unfortunately for the budding restaurant owner, some diners have already criticized the new establishment. They shared complaints about the food, prices, service, and its reported no-children policy.
According to Daily Voice, Gia’s business partner Maria Sausa has addressed the backlash, explaining why the business chose an adults-only dining experience. “Our decision to create an adults-only dining experience at IL Vero was intentional.”
“There are many wonderful family-friendly restaurants in the area, and we think that’s fantastic,” she continued. “Not every restaurant is meant for everyone.”
The restaurant’s no-children policy has been among the concerns raised. Early reviewers also questioned pricing and critiqued the overall dining experience. One diner also reportedly described confusion surrounding reservations. Allegedly, they were seated in the upstairs lounge, where only appetizers and cocktails were available, despite booking a dinner reservation.
Gia announced her restaurant plans in January 2026, partnering with Sausa on the New Jersey venture. Her mother, Teresa, has also played a role in the project, helping shape the restaurant’s interior and menu.
The family-inspired Italian eatery was created to celebrate the traditions that have always been important to the Giudices. Teresa, a cookbook author known for her Italian recipes, has contributed her culinary expertise to the menu.
