Ezra Sosa boasted about his season 34 Dancing With the Stars partner, Jordan Chiles, as he revealed some BTS info about being partnered with Anna Delvey on his freshman season as a pro.
During an appearance on Danielle Fishel‘s Danielle With the Stars podcast, the iconic Boy Meets World actress got the details on the fraudster’s infamous ankle monitor and learned that the former partners had a falling out.
The ankle monitor:
Ezra explained that Anna Delvey’s eye wasn’t on the prize like his current partner, Jordan’s are. “With Anna, I was like, ‘Do you want to win?’ And she goes, ‘Eeehhhh.’ I was like, ‘Okay, we’re going to have a gag. You know what? We’re going to have a gag and we’re going to have fun doing it.”
Danielle joked, “We’re going to bedazzle your ankle monitor. Was that your idea?” Ezra responded, “Well, I remember I talked to production about it. They’re like, ‘Well, we wanted to do it.’ I was like LOL,” he giggled.
“Did you get that approved by the government?” wondered Danielle. “Um, well, I didn’t. But honestly, I [bedazzled] it in a way where she couldn’t charge it.”
“So you did it yourself?!” laughed Danielle. “Yes, I did,” answered Ezra. “I did it for rehearsal. The next day, like she peeled them all off.” Apparantly, the ankle monitor couldn’t be charged while bejeweled.
Ezra had to call out the absurdity of the situation. “Oh my God. She almost got arrested because of me.”
Danielle cracked up. “I never thought about the fact that you have to charge those things. ‘Does anybody have a USB-C?’”
According to Ezra ankle monitors don’t use a traditional charging device. “It wasn’t. It was like a giant sleeve. But like we would be rehearsing and then it would beep. I’m like, ‘What the heck is that?’ It’s a low battery. Like, I’m dead.”
Ezra asked Anna ,”Do you need five minutes to charge it?”
Danielle asked the question many of us were wondering … Did Anna have to take the ankle monitor off to charge it?
Ezra noted, “She’s going to kill me. Yeah, her leg was out. And you just kind of stick it on there.”
The unfollowing:
“Are you guys still friendly,” inquired Danielle.
Ezra announced, “We’re not talking right now.”
Danielle said she “heard that maybe there was an unfollow there.”
“Yeah, there was definitely an unfollow. And you know what? It’s okay.”
Danielle reassured him, “We’re all on our different journeys.”
Seemingly unbothered, Ezra concluded, “Yeah. You be you, boo boo, and I’ll be me, you know? Respectfully.”
