Dancing With the Stars pro Ezra Sosa is standing by his sister, Stephani Sosa, who accidentally hit a fellow contestant in the face, sending her home on Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro‘s third episode.
ICYMI, Natalie Jolley was wheeled into an ambulance and was absent from rehearsals and performances for the rest of the episode. Judge Shirley Ballas announced Natalie was sent home because she had not been “medically cleared” to continue in the competition. Neither of the bottom two dancers was eliminated.
Fans of the spinoff show took to social media to express their thoughts on the decision to eliminate Natalie … and drag Stephani. Ezra slipped into the comments to stick up for his sister. “This comment section … My sister apologized to Natalie. They didn’t air it. Also, this happens all the time when you are rehearsing.”
In a confessional on the episode, Stephani said, “I don’t know what happened. The dance was moving so quickly, and Natalie got hit in the face. I just hate being the one that caused that.” Stephanie teared up as she continued, “I just feel horrible. I know she’s worked really hard to be here, and I hope she’s okay.”
Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro airs Mondays at 8 pm on ABC and streams on Hulu.
