Actress/returning Real Housewives of Beverly Hills personality Denise Richards was granted a permanent restraining order against her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers.
Aaron shared NSFW text messages and photos of Denise online, which resulted in a restraining order that expires on November 7, 2030.
The judge’s ruling:
“It’s pretty classic domestic violence from my perspective. I think that it’s really pretty clear that you can’t take private things, and throw them out into the world like that without potential consequences. There can’t possibly be a defense that her peace can’t be disturbed because she had an OnlyFans page and did Playboy. That’s not a defense.”
Denise was initially awarded a temporary order against Aaron Phypers in July. It came nearly one week after he filed for divorce from Denise.
Aaron’s arrest:
Denise’s ex was arrested in court last month on spousal abuse charges. According to documents obtained by Fox News Digital, the restraining order stemmed from two separate incidents in 2017 and 2022.
Aaron was handcuffed, then argued with sheriffs while riding down an escalator. The sheriffs then returned to retrieve his cellphone.
Hours later, the unemployed holistic healer posted a $200,000 bond and was released from jail. Aaron’s next court date for the criminal charges will be in December.
The leaked texts/photos scandal:
Denise testified in court last month that Aaron attempted to destroy her reputation during the fallout of their relationship. At one point, allegedly leaked nude photos of the Drop Dead Gorgeous actress.
“It’s been difficult for my daughters, especially with the naked photos. I’m so embarrassed and ashamed as a mom. [My daughter] couldn’t go to church.”
In July, Richards petitioned the court, claiming Phypers stole her computer and “disseminated private information, including nude photographs” to various news outlets. The court ordered that Aaron return the device within 48 hours.
