The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives‘ Bret Engemann‘s divorce details from Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘s ‘friend of,’ Angie Harrington, were confirmed by The US Sun.
Brett is currently married to MomToker, Demi Engemann. Pre-Demi, Bret was married for seven years to Angie, Heather Gay‘s friend. (All roads lead back to Bravo!)
Angie filed for divorce in 2010, citing “irreconcilable differences” with the father of her two sons.
The legal deets:
A judge awarded the Angie and Bret joint custody, but noted that Angie’s home would be their “home base.” The court granted Angie 209 overnights with the children. Bret was given 156 overnights a year.
Angie had no income at the time of their divorce. The court papers stated, “The father’s gross monthly income is $7,011. The mother’s gross monthly income is $0.” The papers read, “The petitioner has been a stay-at-home mother during their marriage. She’s worked as an actress with a talent management group and earns up to $3000 a year.”
Despite a court worksheet determination that Bret should pay Angie $1,413 a month for child support, he was “willing to pay in excess.” He agreed to shell out $1,800 per month in child support to Angie for their two sons, “with payments commencing April 1 of 2010 and continuing until [each son] becomes 18 years of age, or until the child’s expected date of graduation from high school. Whichever occurs later.”
Beyond paying the child support, Bret also agreed to pay Angie $1,000 a month in alimony for the first four years after their divorce.
“[Bret] works for MXI Corporation (Healthy Chocolate Sales), which is a multi-level marketing agency [MLM]. “He has an income of $7,011 per month.”
The stipulation:
“The wife should is awarded a sum of $1,000 a month as alimony from the husband, commencing April 1 2010 and continuing for four years until the death of either party, the wife’s remarriage or cohabitation with another person, whichever comes first.”
Bret also took over all of his and Angie’s debts, with the exception of a Nordstrom card with a $600 balance.
