Danny Booko is speaking out following online backlash over his behavior during The Valley cast trip to San Diego.
The Bravo star posted a statement via Instagram Stories on May 20, apologizing first and foremost to his wife, Nia Sanchez, for what he called his “embarrassing” behavior.
“To the person I love most, my beautiful wife, I am so sorry,” Danny began.
“Watching these last few episodes back hasn’t been easy. It was a difficult season of life and a version of myself that I’m embarrassed by and not proud of.”
The father of four under four admitted that stress, alcohol, and exhaustion contributed to his behavior and “shorter fuse.”
“A short fuse, stress, alcohol and lack of sleep are never a good combination, but that’s not an excuse. I should never have taken any of it out on you,” he continued.
Danny went on to reflect on the pressures of balancing marriage and parenthood while acknowledging he failed to show Nia the respect she deserves.
“Balancing parenthood and life can stretch you in ways you don’t fully realize until you see yourself through a different lens. I love, honor, and respect you deeply, and I did not show that in some of these moments.”
Ahead of the new episode — and after seeing growing audience reactions online — Nia also posted an Instagram Story teasing Danny’s statement was coming.
She additionally warned followers that anyone leaving hateful comments about her husband on her page would be blocked.
Additionally, and worth noting, Danny was originally scheduled to appear in the Watch What Happens Live clubhouse alongside Luke Broderick.
However, Tom Schwartz ultimately filled in after Danny reportedly had to miss the appearance due to a work obligation.
