A moment that went down between Dancing With the Stars competitors Whitney Leavitt and Danielle Fishel left audiences divided.

Cameras on the ballroom floor panned through the contestants and their pro partners’ reactions after Lauren Jauregui and Brandon Armstrong’s surprising elimination.
While everyone else on stage appeared shocked and saddened, Whitney was elated. In fact, she appeared to want the Boy Meets World actress to celebrate with her.
Despite Danielle’s back being to the camera, something happened between her and TSLOMW star. Danielle turned away as Whitney’s joyful facial expression drastically shifted.

- It rubbed me the wrong way to see her laughing like that when everyone else was commiserating and sad and shocked around Lauren

- I think Whitney was probably just excited that they both made it through, and Danielle reminded her that it wasn’t the time for that. That it was time to comfort Lauren

As a longtime fan and follower of Danielle, I believe she was trying to look out for Whitney, who is new to fame.
During episode 3, Danielle mentioned that she’s known pop singer Sabrina Carpenter for years and feels like a second mom to the Espresso songstress.
Since Danielle has been famous for over three decades, I think she could spot Whitney caught in her own emotions, keeping her from reading the room.
