After the judges votes were tallied along with America’s votes, Eric Roberts and Reginald VelJohnson were voted off.
Worth noting from Hair Metal Night:
Can we talk about Gene Simmons being the guest judge? Ick.
In no surprise to anyone, Gene Simmons was creepy AF. The way he commented on the contestants and competitor’s physical appearance was really hard to watch. As a person in my 40s, I’ve been talked to that way so many times in my life, it’s nice to see someone get called out for being inappropriate in a work environment.
What was even more disappointing was how Gene judged the contestants. A whole bunch of biases were included in his scoring which is unfortunate for the contestants who value the judges’ scores, let alone the fact that judge scores impact who gets to stay in the competition and who is eliminated.
