Former Real Housewives of Orange County‘s Crystal Kung Minkoff isn’t holding space for Teddi Mellencamp‘s hypocrisy.
In an interview with US Weekly, Crystal shared how her podcasting style is different than Teddi’s.
Crystal doesn’t like cherry-picking topics on podcasts:
“I don’t think it’s a requirement for a podcast to be open and vulnerable. Every podcast is different.” ICYMI, Crystal co-hosts the Humble Brag podcast with Cynthia Bailey and Teddi co-hosts Two T’s In A Pod with Tamra Judge.
Crystal doesn’t think all podcasters need to be held to the same standard, but because the entire Two T’s pod is celebrity gossip, she needs to be more open and honest about her life. “But, do I think Teddi should be required? Yes.”
“I think if Teddi’s gonna come after everybody, she should open up more. My thing is, I don’t really care personally, but I don’t do that to people. That’s not expected of me. I am super honest and open in general.”
Teddi continues to ask for privacy for her kids sake, but she doesn’t give that grace to others, and Crystal pointed it out. “I care about her children, so I don’t want that at the end. But I do hope that she adjusts herself in the future, handling other people’s personal affairs. That’s what I hope for her. I don’t need her to expose any of it. That’s their personal life. But I want her to have a little more grace for other people. That’s what I would like.”
Teddi wants privacy:
Regarding her affair with a married man, Teddi held back from her listeners. “At this point, I’m obviously only gonna share what I shared on social media. I don’t even know how to say this eloquently. But, I’m just trying my hardest to make sure that my kids’ privacy is protected right now and that we’re able to have all of these conversations.”
Mellencamp acknowledged that she often talks about other Bravo stars’ lives. At the same time, she planned to keep the discussion of her own split to a minimum because of her children.
“Being somebody who recaps other people’s things, [it’s like], ‘Don’t be a hypocrite, Teddi,’” she said. “But when it does come to this and children, I think there’s just room … it’s a little bit different than getting into ‘Jen Aydin reveals text exchange with Andy Cohen.’”
