Southern Charm‘s Craig Conover remains unbothered that Austen Kroll “felt betrayed” by him. But, Austen took to the Southern Charm’s After Show to share that he’s still affected by their ongoing feud.
Austen’s issue:
“Basically, the apology that he was trying to give me was, ‘I’m sorry my words upset you,'” began Austen.
Rodrigo Reyes, who was in a joint confessional with Austen, added, “That’s not an apology.” Austen appeared relieved his friend felt the same way. “Basically, that’s how it felt!”
“I was like, ‘That was what I was waiting for? This piece of sh*t apology. ‘I’m sorry my fist hurt your face. It shouldn’t have been there.’ That’s not an apology.”
“I always had high hopes, ‘Maybe he’ll just fricken do it, [apologize]. Come through and say it.’ It just feels like that part never happens,” continued Austen.
The root of the issue, in Craig’s opinion:
“Here’s the problem,” explained Craig. “The amount of things Austen’s done to me over the years that I have to forgive … it really comes down to him having an issue with how I live my life.”
“Last year, he had a problem with me not coming out with him. This year, he was jealous he wasn’t coming out with us. I think I’m a better friend to Austen than he is to me. I think I carry the whole weight of the relationship. He probably thinks the same thing.”
Austen continued his side of the story:
“Then, I sit down to have a talk with him, ‘Hey man,’ he said to Craig. ‘You committed a cardinal sin. You accused me of something horrendous that I’ve never come at you for your [former] relationship or anything like that.”
Austen maintained he never said he was jealous that Craig was single. “Craig hasn’t asked me a question about my life in a long time. So when we went to shop for the cats, it was like the first convo where he genuinely was asking me questions. ‘What’s us with you and Audrey?'” … which was done on camera.
