Iconic ’80s actor Corey Feldman left his mark with films like The Goonies and License To Drive, but it doesn’t appear he’s leaving much on the Dancing With the Stars floor, according to his pro partner, Jenna Johnson.
Jenna, last season’s winner, took to Instagram to share where she and Corey are in their rehearsal process. Spoiler alert, it’s not far!
MIA:
Jenna began by sharing how grateful she is to be asked back as a pro. “I love the show so much, I love being part of it, I’m so grateful to be asked back, and I’m excited for this season.”
That’s when Jenna addressed the elephant NOT in the room. “Going off that, so many people have been, like, ‘Where are your TikToks with Corey? What’s happening?’”
In a candid moment, Jenna admitted, “I actually haven’t seen him since Good Morning America.”
Corey “had some previous work engagements and personal stuff going on,” revealed Jenna. “So, I haven’t seen him since [we were in] New York, and I am eagerly awaiting him getting back so we can get back into the studio to dance and then to do all the content things.”
“I’ve been loving all the couples posting. It’s been so fun to see.”
Jenna’s got her work cut out for her:
Despite being “a little anxious and eager to get back into the studio, Jenna can’t wait. It’s always so exciting starting this new season [with] this new family. I am obsessed with all these celebrities so far. They have just been amazing,” Jenna explained in a recent interview with Us Weekly.
“I think every season is new as a clean slate, especially with different partners that you’re given. I am so passionate about giving each partner the best experience possible. This is a different journey. I’m obviously so grateful for last year and the win, but this is new. This is different. My intentions are different, so I’m excited.”
Johnson wants to help Corey “feel the best on the dance floor” that he can.
Dancing With the Stars premieres on ABC and Disney+ Tuesday, September 16, at 8 p.m. ET. Episodes stream the next day on Hulu.
