It’s over for Love is Blind season 4 couple Chelsea Griffin and Kwame Appiah.
On Thursday, May 15, the former couple issued a joint announcement sharing a major “life update.”
“Last week would have marked our fourth wedding anniversary,” Chelsea’s statement read.
“Out of respect for the life we shared, I wanted to address this moment directly with the community that has supported us over the years.”
Chelsea explained that despite “pouring her heart” into the marriage, the pair ultimately grew in different directions and realized love alone wasn’t enough anymore.
The Netflix star admitted the process has been “deeply painful,” but said she’s looking ahead and choosing to trust what’s next.
“My mantra going forward is that I am strong, I am resilient, and there is still so much ahead of me, just as there was the day I stepped into the pods,” she shared.
Kwame echoed a similar sentiment in his own statement, explaining that the two no longer aligned on their future goals.
“As difficult as it’s been to arrive here, I believe it’s in our best interest considering amongst many other things, that our ultimate life goals don’t feel aligned,” Kwame wrote.
“Thank you all for the many years of support. Much love to you all.”

Just last month the pair shut down breakup rumors — posting a photo together enjoying the outdoors.
However, fans of the Netflix franchise had already begun speculating after noticing Chelsea and Kwame posting together less frequently on social media.
The couple famously met and married during season 4 of Love is Blind, which premiered in 2023.
Despite early concerns over Kwame’s connection with Micah Lussier, the two became one of the season’s success stories.
