Chef Ben Robinson is addressing why he may be coming across a tad aggressive on Below Deck Down Under.
“I know that I’m probably coming across as a little bit of a ‘you know what’ or whatever,” Ben admitted in an Instagram video.
“I had a lot of pressure. It had been a long time since I’d been back on the franchise, and I wanted to get things right.”
ICYMI: Chef Ben’s last full-season stint as a main chef in the Below Deck franchise was Below Deck Mediterranean Season 4, which aired in 2019.
He returned briefly as a replacement chef toward the end of that season, but hasn’t helmed a galley for an entire season since.
Fast forward to the present: Ben is now the head chef aboard yacht Katina.
He’s juggling high expectations and a sous chef whose passion for food may outweigh her formal training.
Despite what viewers are seeing play out on screen, it seems Ben and Alesia Harris ultimately found their footing.
In his Instagram explanation, Ben revealed the two are still friends “to this day,” teasing fans to “stay tuned” because “all will be okay in the end.”
“It’s been 11 years since I’ve done a whole season,” Ben also told BravoTV.com.
“I just wanted to push myself and challenge myself. It was a bit interesting to do it.”
