Chanel Ayan supported her cousin, Ubah Hassan, after the disturbing fight between her and Brynn Whitfield during the season 15 RHONY finale.
Ayan, who competed on season 3 of The Traitors US stood up for the Real Housewives of New York reboot personality.
Cousin love:
“I knew about everything that happened … immediately,” Ayan explained. Ubah “called me in shock. It’s not something that you do to somebody.”
“It’s not normal; it’s not ok. Actually, it’s f*cked up,” declared Ayan.
“I would like to pay for Brynn’s therapy so she can get better. What you did to my family is crazy.”
“I want to say a lot right now, but Ubah won’t let me. That’s the kind of person she is.”
Ayan on Ubah’s disposition:
The former Real Housewives of Dubai star admitted, “I haven’t watched the episodes because I’m in Paris,” but she knows her cousin’s character. “She’s lovely.” Chanel described Ubah as “an angel.”
Ubah and Ayan spent over a week together in Connecticut after the RHONY finale was filmed. “I know exactly what went down.” Ubah is not “the type of person that will hold grudges.”
“She’s not the type who wishes bad on people.” Ubah “just doesn’t have that in her.”
Aftermath of the RHONY season 15 reunion:
“I get shivers” when I think about learning of what happened between Ubah and Brynn,” detailed Ayan. “When I heard it, I was so sad. I wanted to call Brynn and talk to her about her. Because I saw what it did to Ubah. I wanted to reach out to her and be like, ‘Are you crazy?'”
Ayan told the audience that Ubah has Sai De Silva and Gizelle Bryant in her corner supporting her.” Even Ubah wants “what’s best for Brynn at the end of the day” according to her cousin.
Regarding Brynn’s possible return to RHONY, Ayan thinks “If she comes back, she should just be herself. Stop doing the producing and be herself. Maybe get to see the other side of her.”
