Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba apologized to Boy Meets World star Danielle Fishel for commenting on her body type.
ICYMI, Carrie Anne’s critique of the ‘Topanga‘ actress and pro-partner Pasha Pashkov’s routine included a remark about the actress being a “tiny, little woman.” She recommended Danielle “use the space” around her when she dances.
Danielle knows who TF she is:
Before stepping out into the ballroom for Rock and Roll Night, Danielle admitted in a confessional that Carrie’s words stuck with her.
“I am a tiny, little woman, but she’s big on the inside, more powerful, so I need to unleash her more often.”
However, she pointed out that “it doesn’t come naturally to be flailing [her] 5-foot-1 body around the [dance] floor.”
Pasha, who has called out Inaba for her “unfair” criticism of Fishel in the past, also took the judge’s feedback to heart. The pro-dancer noted that their contemporary choreography for this week “is the perfect style to put [that] into action.”
Carrie Anne’s apology:
After their performance, Carrie Anne took a moment to revisit her “tiny, little woman” remark.
“I would like to apologize for my words if they hurt you at all. I didn’t mean that at all.”
Carrie Anne continued, “You are small, but you do pack a punch. That’s why I can say it, because I believe in you.”
Danielle assured Carrie Anne that she was “not” offended by the remark.
