Summer House star Carl Radke explained that the physical fight (as seen on the season 10 preview) he had with Kyle Cooke ultimately brought the pair “closer.”
During a cast gathering at 92NY in New York City, Carl recounted the altercation with Kyle that left his co-star, West Wilson, bloody.
The kerfuffle:
In the season 10 preview, a verbal argument between Carl and Kyle turned physical. As the incident grew more heated, Carl was held back by West, who was collateral damage.
“I think it was probably the biggest fight we’ve ever had as friends. That was the last dinner of the summer, which I think you’ll see how that led up to that. But I think a lot of men, especially Kyle and I, can go at it. But, it actually brings us closer together.”
“We’ve gotten into it, but you’ll see how it unfolds. But I love this guy [Kyle]. I mean, so important to me.” But this was a new low for the friends. “I remember I was very, very upset. I hadn’t flipped out like that in quite a while.” Carl continued, “I was saying a bunch of things while being held back, and I can remember hearing West say, ‘Let him go, let him go.'”
West added, “I was like, ‘Just let him fight.’ But yeah, there were a lot of people, a lot of holding people back. I had blood on my pants.”
Kyle jumped into the convo. “To Carl’s point,” he began, “I think guys in particular struggle to communicate. So it’s kind of like we’re besties, [but] there’s so much that we just kind of brush under the rug or let build up. And then, I was a bit of a pressure cooker this past summer. So, you will see how it unfolded. It was the last weekend. I just immediately felt like an idiot [after the fight].”
Amanda Batula, Kyle’s estranged wife, joked, “Then they kissed and made up. Heated Rivalry.”
