Real Housewives of Potomac alum Candiace Dillard Bassett dropped that she received a hefty fine for “liking” comments on social media during an appearance on the Undomesticated podcast.
While chatting about Lisa Rinna’s new book, You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It, Candiace discussed her fellow Traitor getting fined $50,000 by NBC “for breach of contract.”
Ching Ching:
Candiace claimed Rinna was fined for “saying things online that go against your contract.”
“I remember I texted her and I was like, ‘I feel really seen by that.’ I always kinda felt like I was alone in that.” Candiace revealed, “I, too, have been fined. Not quite $50,000. Maybe somewhere around $35,000.”
When asked what she was fined for, CDB shared, “There are rules. There are rules that come into play when it matters.”
“There was definitely a paralegal or somebody in business whose job it was just to watch my Twitter. And this was back when you could see people’s ‘likes.’ And I would ‘like’ sh*t. If something sat well in my spirit, boop. Like, like, like. I was liking left, right, and center. And that went against the rule.”
She added, “I would say things, but it was mostly me affirming things that were being said.”
“I was asked not to use certain adjectives to describe people,” Candiace quipped.
Surprise!
Candiace continued to say that she wasn’t even told when she was fined.
Allegedly, she found out after she received a check that was lower than she expected. “They wouldn’t even tell me. I would just get my money and be like, ‘This looks a little short.’”
“Then, I’d call and [they would say], ‘Yeah, we took some of it,’” she laughed. “Thanks for telling me!”
