Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Bronwyn Newport’s new mystery man has been identified as NYC restaurateur Justin Sievers … and there’s conflicting information about the status of his marriage.
Bronwyn was caught canoodling with Justin at the US Open over the weekend.
According to Page Six, Justin is still legally married to his wife of roughly a decade, Maria Linn Ekenberger, with whom he shares a young child.
Several sources said Justin and Maria were “not separated” when photos of him kissing and embracing Bronwyn surfaced via DeuxMoi. However, sources offered conflicting accounts of the couple’s relationship status.
One source claimed Justin and Maria had recently been going through a “challenging time” and had agreed to spend a few days apart in an effort to work on their relationship. Allegedly, there was a “clear” understanding that they remained a couple and would not date other people during the break.
Another source said Justin’s demanding “24/7” work schedule had affected the marriage, but maintained that there had “always been a lot of love” between the couple.
Sources also claimed Maria was “in shock and disbelief” after seeing the photos of her estranged husband and the RHOSLC star, and was subsequently separated from him. Another source said she was “really upset” by the situation.
A fourth source disputed that version of events. They insisted that Justin and Maria had already separated before he was photographed with Bronwyn.
As for Bronwyn and Justin, the pair reportedly have mutual friends. Newport has also frequented Café Mulberry, the downtown Manhattan French bistro co-owned by Justin.
