During a sneak peak of The Valley‘s reunion, Brittany Cartwright explained why she turned to Julian Sensley during her separation from Jax Taylor.
Brittany lost her sparkle:
“We never dated,” explained Britt. We were hooking up a couple times a week.”
She reasoned, “Maybe it was weird that I hooked up with somebody that was around the friend group, but my confidence was at an all time low.”
“This man degraded me, put me down, and body shamed me constantly.”
“Julian, [on the other hand,] gave me attention that I needed in that moment. He made me feel sexy, beautiful, he gave me compliments …”
Jax cut his estranged wife off to note, “While he was dating five other girls at the same time.”
“It doesn’t matter,” exclaimed Britt. “He was what I needed. You made me lose my sparkle. I lost a lot of my personality being with you.”
“God,” mumbled the smallest man who ever lived. “[Enough] with the f*cking sparkle.”
Brittany yelled back, “Everybody knows it.”
“I’m not arguing with you. Did you see me arguing with you,” asked Jax, who sat as quiet as a bomb.
Brittany mocked Jax mocking her. “Lost her sparkle.” Jax cut her off again. “Enough with the sparkle. It’s like, come on.”
“But that’s how I talk about myself,” Brittany rebutted.
“I’m very sorry,” Jax muttered.
Brittany doubled the eff down …
“I had your son,” continued Cruz’s mom, “and you body shamed me for stretch marks.”
Jax, of course, denied Britt’s claim. The rest of the cast wasn’t going the let the mouse go. “Yes, you did,” interjected Zack Wickham as the rest of the gang agreed.
“I had your child,” declared a disgusted Brittany.
“He literally called me a tree trunk because I had stretch marks.”
Jax tried to defend himself. “I’m sorry about all of it. This is not how I wanted this. This is the last thing I wanted anyone to see was how this all got. I couldn’t control it.”
