Nearly two years after separating, Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor have officially reached a custody agreement regarding their son, Cruz.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, the former couple agreed that neither will pay the other child support.
Instead, each parent will be responsible for covering Cruz’s expenses while he is in their care.
Per the agreement, Jax will have custody of Cruz on Wednesday nights and every other weekend, while Brittany will have him the remainder of the time.
The pair will alternate holidays — with one notable exception. Brittany will have Cruz every Christmas.
The Valley star previously told Page Six that Christmas in Kentucky with family is something she refuses to miss.
“Cruz has got all of his cousins and family and so much love [in Kentucky]… I don’t ever want him to miss that. And I don’t want to miss it either.”
The custody arrangement also gives Brittany tie-breaking authority over medical decisions involving their son.
Additionally, both parents agreed they will not be under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, or any illegal substances while caring for Cruz.
They also cannot introduce Cruz to a new romantic partner until they have been dating that person for at least six months.
ICYMI: Jax and Brittany ended their four year marriage in January 2024. Brittany filed for divorce shortly after, but the split has yet to be finalized.
When The Valley returns for Season 3 on April 1, Jax will notably not appear. Reports suggested his absence was tied to an ultimatum for him to focus on getting healthy.
