Big Brother alums Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo are having twins!
The season 18 Housemates, previously announced they are expecting their second baby together after years of trying.
Party of 5:
Nicole told PEOPLE, “We were and are ecstatic. What a beautiful gift from God!”
“I honestly felt so sick the first trimester and started showing around the 8-week mark, which, with my first pregnancy, I didn’t show until around 20 weeks.”
“I joked there must be two babies in there, and when there really was, I was happy-shocked. I’ve always wanted to have twins, and they run in my family!”
Victor was also totally shocked, but very excited. “We’ve been trying to conceive for some time now, so this felt like a long-awaited gift.”
The two haven’t found out the sex of their babies-to-be, but Nicole says she thinks it’ll be a boy and a girl.
“The twins have different sacs and different placentas, so the probability of them being identical is only about 1%,” explained the Big Brother winner. “If it’s two more boys, I’ll really be outnumbered.”
Nicole and Victor’s son:
The couple’s 4-year-old son, Arrow, is just as excited. The couple said he’s “handling it well. He knows mama’s stomach has babies in it and talks about doing sleepovers with them at his Mia’s (grandma’s).”
“Arrow is so so excited! He said before we knew there were two that he wanted one of each, a sister and a brother, and now there really are two! He knew it all before we did.”
It’s been a couple of years since Nicole was last pregnant. This time around, things are already different. “My last pregnancy was a cakewalk. This one is completely opposite.”
“I’m already having sciatica pain and all other symptoms of being 30 weeks pregnant. Having two in there is a lot different than having one. I need to be more careful with my workload this time around.”
They feel the love:
Now that Nicole and Victor have been able to share the news with their family and friends, they say that they really feel all of the love and support.
“My loved ones know it’s been three years of trying to conceive, so I think they are so happy for me to have two at once. Once we got out of our ultrasound appointment and found out, I speed-dialed them and shared the good news.”
“It was the biggest high! We are so lucky to be loved by such amazing people,” concluded Nicole.
