Dancing With the Stars season 34 favorite, Andy Richter, called out the hypocrisy in Whitney Leavitt being eliminated. “She’s an amazing dancer.”
Andy was a guest on the Chicks in the Office podcast and questioned why DWTS voters choose to eliminate contestants as they do.
The people’s princess has questions:
ICYMI, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was eliminated in the semi-finals despite having the highest score on the leaderboard that week. Andy doesn’t understand why.
“Whitney going home to me is absolutely insane. If all the sticklers who were furious about me still being in it, who were demanding perfect technical dancing, I don’t know why she would get sent home with that criterion.”
“There’s a whole soap opera going on adjacent to the show’s outline.”
“It’s a good way to take the temperature of what the audience is feeling in terms of voting. I’ve seen forever, there’s people like, ‘Whitney’s gotta go.’ I’m just like, ‘What? Why?'”
Re: Whitney’s elimination …
Whitney and Mark Ballas performed a Cha-cha and a Viennese waltz on Prince Night earning a score of 58/60.
However, the judges’ scores weren’t enough to outweigh the impact of Whitney’s role on season 3 of TSLOMW.
Spoiler Alert!
Whitney didn’t appear in the first four episodes of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. But when DWTS execs reached out to the Utah-based cast for casting, Whitney suddenly wanted to mend her relationships within MomTok.
