Andy Cohen is on the same page with Real Housewives of New Jersey fans regarding a “reboot” or recasting in order to move forward in the franchise. During an episode of Radio Andy, Bravo TV‘s Daddy took a call from a Jersey fan who thinks a change is needed in the Garden State.
Thoughts from a very verbose fan:
The caller asked Andy, “Is it not time for a rebrand?” Concisely, he answered, “Yes.” The caller put her producer cap on while she had Andy’s ear. “I think it’s time to do what [Bravo did] with New York. Bring fresh faces in.” She added, “I love the Rachel [Fuda] and Danielle [Cabral] combo on New Jersey. I love that they’re fresh and young. They’re funny. And, Jen Fessler. There is a positive energy.”
Andy snuck a couple of affirming words into the conversation. “I agree.” The fan’s rant continued, “There’s all the negativity from all the others. Set them free. Let them move on.” Not committing to a plan for the future of the show, Andy assured the passionate RHONJ fan, “We’re going to figure something out.”
What to expect from the reunion:
Yesterday, a Variety exclusive revealed the “non reunion, reunion” filmed on Monday, July 15 at Rails Steakhouse in Towaco, New Jersey. (Yes, THE Rails Steakhouse!) The watch party features the cast watching the finale together under one roof but in two separate rooms.
Room A– Teresa Giudice, Jennifer Aydin, and “friend of” Jackie Goldschneider.
Room B– Melissa Gorga, Rachel Fuda, Danielle Cabral, Margaret Josephs, and “friend of” Jennifer Fessler.
A bipartisan Dolores Catania floats between the two rooms to watch alongside the cast.
The watch party will air as a special on Aug. 11, the Sunday following the season finale.
