Vanderpump Rules producer Alex Baskin is slated to produce the second season of Freeform and Hulu’s Love Thy Nader.
The reality series starring Brooks Nader and her sisters Grace Ann, Sarah Jane, and Mary Holland was renewed for a second season at the end of last year, and Bravo TV’s controversial producer is involved.
Love Thy Nader (and company):
Deadline reported, “Hulu and Freeform are hoping that Baskin can sprinkle some of that magic on Love Thy Nader, which follows the gregarious Nader, a former Sports Illustrated model known for her outlandish love life, and her sisters.”
Season 2 will follow the Louisiana-born and bred beauties in NYC. “Set against the backdrop of Soho lofts and fashion campaigns, the sisters continue exploring the question of what it means to ‘make it’ in The City.”
Alex Baskin will serve as executive producer, along with Jimmy Kimmel and others.
Re: Bravoholics vs Alex Baskin …
While Alex Baskin’s shows garner significant viewership, Bravo TV fans often criticize the pathos of the shows he produces.
For instance, Alex was accused of forcing a ‘Tom Sandoval redemption’ arc despite VPR fans using their eyes and ears to see his toxic behaviors.
Additionally, fans commented online about storylines feeling manipulated and manufactured by Alex – specifically, the yearly ‘gang up’ trope on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The second season of Love Thy Nader is expected to premiere later this year.
