RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Jan Admits To Blaming Her Breakdown On Brita’s Elimination

This week’s RuPaul’s Drag Race was more of a nightmare than a ‘Jantasy‘ for Jan Sport.

RPDR‘s most recently eliminated dragtestant, Jan (Just Jan), admitted to blaming her emotional breakdown on her BFF Brita Filter‘s elimination.

Jan was interviewed by Advocate.com to discuss her elimination, her friendship with fellow NYC Queen, Brita, and her breakdown after the Madonna Ru-sical challenge.

How did Jan get to be so close with Brita?

Jan explained, “The first time that I ever performed in drag, I was in a competition with Brita. I was very nervous because it was my first time performing in drag. I didn’t even know what I was doing the first time. I was performing as a Kris Jenner impersonator. We had a sound check, and I hit my high notes, and Brita was in the crowd cheering. Afterward, she said, “You’re so talented. I can tell you’re nervous, and you shouldn’t be. I think you’re so wonderful and special.” To have someone do that and make you feel better, in just the first two minutes of meeting them, speaks volumes.”

What was Jan’s response to seeing the other dragtestants accuse her of deflecting after Brita’s elimination?

“I would say that they’re correct. I definitely think I was upset that Brita went home, but I was also trying not to show that I was upset about the challenge. I didn’t want the queens to see a weakness. It was easier to blame it on Brita leaving because I didn’t want the fact I was upset about the challenge to show,” detailed season 12’s ‘girl next door.’

Does Jan think she was robbed of winning the Madonna Ru-sical challenge?

Upon reflection, ‘Just Jan’ concluded, “I think after watching it, Gigi was wonderful. I wish it was a double win.”

How does Jan feel about being eliminated?

“I did not think it was my time to go and I was sad, but there’s always All-Stars.”

As a Jan stan, I have to agree with the former America’s Got Talent contestant. I don’t think Jan should have even been in the bottom two, let alone eliminated. I would have preferred to see the sexual deviant Sherry Pie go home, because of her snooze of a commercial and mediocre runway lewk, but that’s just me.
