90 Day Fiance star, Deavan Clegg, got a botched lip injection procedure. The hero of this story proves not all heroes wear capes….
Let’s start at the beginning.
Like many reality tv personalities, 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way‘s Deavan wanted to get some elective cosmetic procedures to enhance her physical appearance. Sounds normal so far, but not for long. Jihoon Lee‘s fiance’s lips was injected with an unknown substance, resulting in Deavan almost losing her lips!
According to The Blast, sources spilled that “Deavan wanted a little ‘plump’ in her lips while in Korea, and sought out plastic surgery. We’re told after the procedure, Deavan’s lips showed major red flags. Over the next few days, her lips swelled, she developed sores and began peeling. Even after they were done ‘healing,’ we’re told her lips were disfigured with large lumps.”
Luckily, Deavan was able to find an expert in time who was able to save her lips, thanks to another 90DF cast member who is no stranger to elective cosmetic procedures, Larissa Dos Santos Lima.
Since Deavan and Jihoon were already planning a trip to Las Vegas, Deavan decided to ‘roll the dice’ (excuse my Vegas pun) and reach out to 90DF season six’s Larissa. Larissa referred Deavan to Heather Rohrer, owner of Center for Aesthetic Medicine & Human Performance.
“Rohrer is an expert cosmetic injector and was able to treat Deavan over the course of four days to dissolve the bad filler and restore a ‘beautiful subtle plump,” according to reports from The Blast. Deavan took to Instagram to share her story.
Deavan provided a PSA to others in search of more plump lips, “The product they injected had not been tested. I went to a professional. My lip was so swollen and injected incorrectly. I had damage so severe that my lip was dying. Please ladies do research it’s okay to get lip fillers and feel beautiful. But please do research and find a doctor who specializes in it. I searched hours on what to do and couldn’t find anything so I want to help girls who are going or went through this.”
As a Larissa fan, I’m so happy to hear that she was able to use her experiences to help someone in need.
